The Communication of Science and Technology program will host the Wick Poetry Center’s Traveling Stanzas: Poets for Science exhibit Feb. 3-5 at the Engineering and Science Building atrium/lobby. This interactive exhibit explores the intersection of poetry and science. Visitors to the exhibit can learn about the Poets for Science Project and create their own poetry using the Traveling Stanzas digital toolkit. Kindness means something different to everyone, but to Stephanie Sweany, ’05, it means making a stranger’s day a little better by simply smiling at them. Stephanie started the Canton Kindness Coalition to “make kindness contagious” in November 2018. “It’s the simple gestures in life that can turn someone’s day around. Senior biology and pre-medicine major Jacob Wagner conducted research on new methods to lose weight involving the relationship between endocannabinoid receptors and muscle thermogenesis, both properties that regulate bodily functions and processes, such as appetite and burning calories.
