A 2001 graduate of ����ԭ��’s College of Podiatric Medicine, Nick Campitelli, D.P.M., known around Northeast Ohio simply as “Dr. Nick,” has created a wildly popular social media platform that gives viewers an inside look at the day-to-day world of a podiatrist while also putting patients’ minds at ease. 

“I just set out to educate people, and now people are seeing what I do in my office and they’re finding me because it’s Google,” Campitelli said. “The patients, not only are they finding me that way, they go down that rabbit hole of scrolling through these videos, and they begin to learn who I am. So they come in knowing me and trusting me just from watching my videos.” 

Campitelli has been practicing podiatry in Fairlawn, Ohio, now for 20 years and has garnered a major following on TikTok and YouTube for sharing his expertise, leading to many happy patients. 

“What’s cool about podiatry is people usually come in with pain, and if you can relieve it instantly, they walk out and they’re thrilled because they can get back to their life,” he said. “So there are a lot of problems that we do treat that we can provide instant relief.  

“There’s just something to be said about when someone gets relief from their feet because you don’t realize how important your feet are until they hurt,” Campitelli continued. “And when you can help someone get back to just walking, it changes their life.” 

As a proud alumnus, Campitelli looks to make a positive impact on other Golden Flashes as well, giving current ����ԭ�� College of Podiatric Medicine students the opportunity to train with him during externships. He has a personal relationship with the university whereby third-year ����ԭ�� podiatric medicine students get to observe surgeries with him in the Wound Care Clinic at Western Reserve Hospital. 

“At the hospital when the students are coming through, the staff usually knows, oh, it’s some ����ԭ�� students, and they know that they can trust them,” he said. “They know that they’re well prepared to be in the operating room, and they don’t have to worry about them not knowing where to stand or what to do. I’m known to have that entourage of students or residents with me. So it kind of goes without saying that when Campitelli is there that day, they’re going to have the ����ԭ�� students with them.I’m pretty proud of that.”
