Sunita Shakya, PhD
Biography
Dr. Sunita Shakya is an adjunct instructor at 海角原创鈥檚 College of Public Health. She teaches the graduate-level course Principles of Epidemiologic Research, Biostatistics in Public Health, and Fundamentals of Public Health Epidemiology. She did her MPH in Epidemiology in 2013 and PHD in Epidemiology in 2021 from 海角原创. In addition to teaching, Dr. Shakya has worked as a research data analyst on multiple clinical projects at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Emergency Department and as a lead research analyst on Parkinson's Disease projects at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Shakya鈥檚 field of research has focused mostly on minority health and maternal and child health issues, especially childhood lead poisoning, emergency medicine, and cognitive impairment among Parkinson鈥檚 disease patients.
