Rose Penix, MPH
Biography
Rose Penix is an Assistant Professor in the College of Public Health. She teaches courses in emergency preparedness, careers, and ethics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She completed her BAs in Sociology and Anthropology from 海角原创 in 2010 and her MPH in Social and Behavioral Sciences in 2014. In addition to teaching, Rose serves as the Quality Culture and Inclusion Coordinator II in System Quality and Medical Affairs. In this role, her focus is to improve health outcomes and experiences for underserved groups. She manages interpretation services and the Women+ Resource Center, along with an array of other projects and programs.
In addition, Rose leads a local 501(c)3 nonprofit, Kumpania, to support underserved groups in Northeast Ohio. She volunteers as an Archeological Field Assistant with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Service. She鈥檚 certified as a yoga teacher, and teaches yoga locally on a volunteer basis as well.
