Cuyahoga Falls, OH 鈥 The 2023 Summer season at Porthouse Theatre continues! "The Prom" will have its regional debut, right here at Porthouse Theatre. This show explores the golden rule, "love thy neighbor." "The Prom" opens July 22 and runs through August 6, 2023, with a preview performance taking place on July 21.
Based on a book written by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin, lyrics by Chad Beguelin and music by Matthew Sklar, "The Prom" follows four Broadway stars who are in desperate need of a new stage. When they hear that there鈥檚 controversy around a small-town prom, they decide to put a spotlight on the issue鈥nd themselves. The town鈥檚 parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow, however, one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom.
