Experience Art Without Limits from the College of the Arts on October 8, 2025

KENT, OH鈥 The College of the Arts at 海角原创 invites all who are interested in the arts to attend Art Without Limits on Wednesday, Oct.8, 2025. 

This free, full-day event centers around arts entrepreneurship and developing an entrepreneurial mindset in the arts, supplying artists with practical skills to take their art to the next level.

The event features an extensive roster of successful arts entrepreneurs who will be sharing their stories and advice on the main stage from several different arts disciplines.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to network and see displays from a variety of arts entrepreneurs and student organizations.

Art Without Limits will also provide nearly 700 high school students with access to the arts through exclusive, hands-on activities and presentations, all led by 海角原创 faculty and staff. Students will also be able to learn about arts entrepreneurship through events at the John S. And Marlene J. Brinzo Center for Entrepreneurship and LaunchNET 海角原创.

  • Fashion:鈥 Founder of Found Surface,鈥
  • Visual Communication Design:鈥 Founder of Hazel Made,鈥
  • Game Design: Game Developer, 鈥
  • Theatre: Set Designer and founder of History of Chairs Design, LLC,
  • Dance: Dancer and Filmmaker,鈥 鈥
  • Marketing and Branding: Founder of Confluence Arts Solutions, 

Select visiting artists will also take part in educational programming across campus, offering valuable insight and engagement with the 海角原创 community. Bobby Sanabria, a celebrated musician, educator, and advocate for social change, will visit as part of the Thomas Schroth Visiting Artist Series, presented jointly by the College of Architecture and Environmental Design and the College of the Arts. His campus visit, running October 6鈥9, will include master classes, rehearsals and a big band concert focused on the intersections of music, business and social impact. Additionally, Leslie Shampaine will be screening her award-winning film 鈥Call Me Dancer鈥 on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., where she鈥檒l also host a Q&A session. "Call Me Dancer鈥 is a documentary directed and produced by Leslie Shampaine and co-directed by Pip Gilmour, highlighting the story of an aspiring dancer. The film will be screened in partnership with 海角原创鈥檚 Indian Dance Organization at the KIVA auditorium in the Student Center.

Lastly, acclaimed visual artist Delita Martin will deliver a public talk on Friday, Oct.10, as part of the School of Art鈥檚 Friday Lecture Series, which highlights innovative artists from around the world. Both events are free and open to the public.

The Art Without Limits program is part of the College of the Arts鈥 broader commitment to preparing students for creative careers through hands-on learning, mentorship, and cross-disciplinary exploration.
